Canvas Conversion FAQ

1.     What will be the process for converting current Blackboard shells to Canvas and also converting/uploading question pools?

2.     I need to get all of my videos off Blackboard! This is what I am most nervous about.

7.     I have a new textbook through McGraw Hill and will be using their Connect feature for the first time. I will need training early enough in the summer to have sufficient time to then train with McGraw Hill on the integration and use of Connect through the Canvas system.

9.     What will the conversion process look like for students? Will they have some classes on Blackboard and some on Canvas, depending on when their professors choose to switch

10.  Some of my classes make a lot of use of surveys and quizzes through Blackboard. Can these materials be migrated into Canvass, or will they need to be redone from scratch?

11.  I would also be interested to know how to create more-or-less standardized templates for types of courses (like online composition courses, for instance). I worked on a Blackboard shell for ENG 100 last year, but since we're moving away from Blackboard we will need to replace it.

14. I have only used Blackboard and have no idea of how to convert to the new educational platform. I am a visual learner and will need training. I am hoping there is an easy solution to convert to Canvas.
